「ヒロシマから発信する平和」

　２００２年３月８日。卒業式を２日後にひかえた広島市の大州中学校では、３年生１７０名がファイナルコンサートを開催しました。３年生は、３年間行ってきた様々な表現活動のしめくくりとして、平和をメインテーマに１３曲の学年合唱を体育館に響かせ、在校生に文化を残しました。そこで歌われた合唱曲のひとつは、大州中学校と広島合唱団の交流から生まれたものです。その曲の詞は、生徒が作った平和宣言に、映画[カンダハール」モフセン＝マフマルバフ監督のメッセージが加えられたものです。２１世紀、ヒロシマの中学生の平和のための小さな活動、これが今、「ねがい」という曲になったのです。
　　

On March 8, two days before the commencement, 170 ninth graders at Ohzu Junior High School held a final concert. As the closing event of their activities during their junior high school days, they sang thirteen songs on the subject of peace. One of the songs was made from the exchange of ideas between the students and the Hiroshima Chorus.The words of this song included a declaration of peace students made. Added in this song is a message from Mr. Mohsen Makhamalbaf, a film director who produced " Kandahar". In the 21st century, with cooperative work, junior high school students in Hiroshima have created the song " Negai".
